WAYNE, N.J. – William Paterson (10-2, 2-2 NJAC) cruised to a 3-0 win against Rutgers-Camden (3-8, 0-3 NJAC) in New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) volleyball action Sept. 30 at the Rec Center.

Mailyn Rodriguez (Hackensack, N.J./Hackensack), turning a 16-14 advantage into a 22-14 lead and a 25-16 win in the second set. Ahead 5-4 in the third, the Pioneers scored seven straight points on Rodriguez's serve and eventually won the match, 25-14.

Kelly Helfrich (Clark, N.J./Arthur L. Johnson) had 10 kills and four block solos to lead William Paterson. Rodriguez added nine kills and a team-best 10 digs, while freshman
Megan Maher (Wood-Ridge, N.J./Wood-Ridge) had 14 assists.
Julie Grochowski the Scarlet Raptors with a match-best 12 kills and 12 digs. Sophomore Krista White contributed 18 assists and seven digs.
William Paterson will host Hunter Thursday, Oct. 2, at 7:00 p.m. Rutgers-Camden will compete at Hunter's Hawk Invitational Saturday, Oct. 4, against SUNY Farmingdale (12:00 p.m.) and Hunter (2:00 p.m.).
