Pioneer Volleyball Falls in Tight Match at NJCU

William Paterson Drops NJAC Decision to Gothic Knights

JERSEY CITY, N.J. – William Paterson (8-2, 0-2 NJAC) fell in a hard-fought decision at New Jersey City (5-4, 2-0 NJAC), 25-15, 25-21, 25-22, in New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) volleyball action Sept. 23.

Junior Amanda Mitchell (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) collected a team-best 15 digs for the Pioneers, while juniors Samantha Reed (Dumont, N.J./Dumont) and Kelly Helfrich (Clark, N.J./Arthur L. Johnson) each had 12 digs for William Paterson. Freshman Megan Maher (Wood-Ridge, N.J./Wood-Ridge), the NJAC Rookie of the Week, posted 11 assists and five digs.

William Paterson will return home Thursday, Sept. 25, to host Kean at 7:00 p.m.
