Box Score

WAYNE, N.J. – Three first half-goals, including a pair by senior Meghan Hall (Turnersville, N.J./Washington Twp.), gave the William Paterson field hockey team (3-1) a 3-0 victory against Drew (3-2) at Wightman Stadium Sept. 10.

Junior Jodi Feriod (Glassboro, N.J./Glassboro) got the scoring started for the Pioneers, converting a penalty corner pass from Tina Londino (Gloucester City, N.J./Gloucester City) 12 minutes into the contest. Hall made it a 2-0 advantage in the 24th minute, scoring her first goal of the night and her sixth of the year when she drove home junior Lauren Frazier's (Glassboro, N.J./Glassboro) pass from the top of the circle.

Collecting the ball on the end line after a broken corner, junior Christina Ayusa (Runnemede, N.J./Triton) found Hall in the middle of the circle for her second goal of the night, making it a 3-0 game 8:44 before halftime. With the two goals tonight, Hall moved into third place on the WP career points charts (84), ahead of current assistant coach Danielle Tracy (81, 1989-92), and she remains fifth in career goals (32).

WP's Christina Auger (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Hills) had three stops for William Paterson, recording her second shutout of the year, and sophomore Jennie Hara (Sewell, N.J./Washington Twp.) helped keep Drew off the scoreboard with a first-half defensive save. Freshman Lauren Fasano made five saves for the Rangers. Sophomore Stacie Brown was also instrumental to the Drew defense, twice keeping the ball out of the cage with defensive saves.

William Paterson will next play Friday, Sept. 12, at 7:00 p.m. at Susquehanna.
