BRONX, N.Y. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (3-1) won every individual event as the Pioneers defeated host Lehman (2-1) 128-97 Nov. 13.
Four Pioneers were double winners against the Lightning. Senior
Michael O'Shea (Edgewater, N.J./Leonia) finished first in the one-meter (209.78) and three-meter (210.15) dives, while junior
Kirk Smith (West Orange, N.J./West Orange) won the 200 IM (2:08.72) and 100 breast (1:05.21). Junior
Voyta Karas (Brno, Czech Republic) touched first in the 100 (48.89) and 200 (1:50.83) frees, and senior
David Caputo (Staten Island, N.Y./Curtis) was the winner in the 1,000 free (10:47, 31) as well as the 500 free with a personal-best time of 5:13.26. Sophomore
Evan Seftel (Montville, N.J./Montville) placed first in the 50 free (22.85), junior
Stefan Rosales (Rahway, N.J./St. Joseph's-Metuchen) was the winner in the 100 back (58.41), and sophomore
Jeremy Lim (Clifton, N.J./Clifton) won the race of the meet, posting a time of 59.29 in the 100 fly.
William Paterson will return to Wightman Pool Wednesday, Nov. 19, against Arcadia at 6:00 p.m.
