ALLENTOWN, Pa. – William Paterson (20-7) earned its 20th volleyball victory of the season, a 3-1 win at Cedar Crest (6-23) in the regular-season finale Oct. 30.

The Pioneers lost the first set 13-25, but bounced back to win the match with 25-14, 25-15, 25-14 scores. Samantha Reed (Dumont, N.J./Dumont) tallied nine kills and 18 digs, junior Kelly Helfrich (Clark, N.J./Arthur L. Johnson) had 23 kills, and sophomore Jillian Bronowich (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) contributed 18 assists. Junior Amanda Mitchell (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) chipped in six service aces and 12 digs, freshman Megan Maher (Wood-Ridge, N.J./Wood-Ridge) had 13 kills, and classmate Chi Chi Okeke (Newark, N.J./Science Park) added nine kills for William Paterson.

The sixth-seeded Pioneers will play at third-seeded Ramapo Tuesday, Nov. 4, in the first round of the New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament at 7:00 p.m.
