POMONA, N.J. – The William Paterson women's tennis team completed its season Oct. 18 with a 9-0 loss at Richard Stockton.

The Pioneers finished the 2008 campaign with a 2-8 overall record and a 0-5 mark in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.

Junior Heidi Busch (Lakehurst, N.J./Manchester Regional) led William Paterson this season with a 7-4 singles record. Junior Lisa Varacallo (Monroe Twp., N.J./Monroe Twp.) and freshman Kimberly Seabeck (Montague, N.J./Port Jervis) each posted three singles wins for the Pioneers. Varacallo and senior Rachel Menzzopane (Neptune, N.J./Neptune) had the most successful effort in doubles, compiling a 4-5 record at the first position.
