WAYNE , N.J. – SUNY Cortland (3-1, 2-0 NJAC) blanked the William Paterson football team (2-2, 0-1 NJAC), 42-0, in the Pioneers' New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) opener Sept. 29 at Wightman Stadium.

A 55-yard completion from Ray Miles to Eric Hajnos helped set-up Cortland's first score, a one-yard touchdown plunge by senior Dustin Bowser. Matthew Mintz's extra point gave the Red Dragons a 7-0 edge with 11:33 remaining in the first quarter.

Bowser added a second TD, again from one yard out, to make it a 14-0 Cortland lead with 3:43 to play in the opening quarter.
