NEW YORK, N.Y. – The William Paterson volleyball team (12-3) played well but could not overcome host Hunter, losing 25-30, 27-30 and 21-30 Sept. 27.

Sophomore Kelly Helfrich (Clark, N.J./Arthur L. Johnson) had eight kills and seven block solos, senior Dana Hansen (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) posted 16 assists and nine kills, and senior Tamara Miller (Maplewood, N.J./Columbia) had seven kills. Sophomore Samantha Reed (Dumont, N.J./Dumont) collected 14 digs, while freshman Jillian Bronowich (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) had 13 assists for the Pioneers.

William Paterson will play a pair of matches Saturday, Sept. 29, playing at St. Joseph's-Brooklyn at 12:00 p.m., and against St. Joseph's-Long Island at 2:00 p.m.
