Megan Tantum singled to right field to lead off the inning and Kelly Nance sacrificed pinch-runner Ashley Lustenberger to second. Kelly Karp drew a walk and took second following the free pass. Schraer would strikeout the next hitter, but Megan Durkin singled to center field to drive in both runners for a 2-0 MSU lead.

MSU would add another run in the sixth as Karp singled with one out. Following a strikeout, Karp swiped second and scored as Durkin punched a single to right field for her third RBI of the game.

In the second game, Montclair jumped out to a 3-0 lead after two innings. Jennifer Jimenez had an RBI single in the first and added a run-scoring double the following inning.
