KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The William Paterson softball team (8-4) split its final pair of games at the Rebel Spring Games March 15 in Kissimmee, Fla. The Pioneers fell to the U.S. Coast Guard, 7-3, but bounced back to defeat Wisconsin-Stout, 8-0.

Nine errors were the Pioneers' undoing in their first game, but William Paterson tightened up its defense in the nightcap, led by junior Diana Schraer's (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) complete game two-hitter. Freshman Christine Zippler (Blackwood, N.J./Washington Twp.) was 3-for-3 at the plate, freshman Chelsea Winkelspecht (Sicklerville, N.J./Washington Twp.) was 2-for-3, and sophomore Ana Abourashed (Middlesex, N.J./Middlesex) was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles.
