NEWBURGH, N.Y. – The William Paterson swimming and diving teams finished the dual-meet season with victories at Mount St. Mary Feb. 6. The Pioneer men (8-4) came away with a 102-58 win, while the WPU women (11-3) were victorious, 110-63.

Traci Dombrowski (Union, N.J./Union) was a double-winner for the Pioneers in her final dual-meet, touching first in the 200 (2:09.67) and 500 (5:54.00) frees. Senior
ColleenTakemoto (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) was also a winner in her final dual-meet, finishing first in the 100 fly (1:04.61). Sophomore
Grace McKay (Fairlawn, N.J./Fairlawn) won the 100 backstroke (1:05.19), sophomore
Cathy Hartwell (Toms River, N.J./Toms River East) was the winner in the 100 free (57.85), junior
Jessica Lyon (Pequannock, N.J./ Pequannock) touched first in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.78), junior
Katelyn Esposito (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Twp.) placed first in the 1,000 free (12:52.28), and sophomore
Donivyn Schmidt (Mansfield, N.J./Warren Hills) posted her first sub-27.00 time of the season in the 50 free (26.94).

Angel Camacho (Parsippany, N.J./Parsippany) finished his dual-meet career with a victory in the 200 free (2:05.25). Sophomore
David Caputo (Staten Island, N.Y./Curtis) was a double-winner with victories in the 1,000 (11:00.87) and 500 (5:11.24) frees, posting a personal-best time in the 500. Freshman
Kirk Smith (West Orange, N.J./West Orange) was also a double-winner, touching first in the 100 free (53.97) and 100 breaststroke (1:16.2). Freshman
Vojtech Karas (Brno, Czech Republic/Luduika Danka) was first in the 100 backstroke (57.74), while classmate
Joe Schirrman (Pine Bush, N.Y./Pine Bush) won the 50 free (22.87).
William Paterson will return to action Feb. 16-18 at the Metropolitan Championships, hosted by Rutgers University in Piscataway.
