Chelsea Winkelspecht (Sicklerville, N.J./Washington Twp.) also had a goal as the Pioneers posted their third straight victory.
The Pioneers jumped out on top quickly, just 2:30 into the match as Winkelspecht , the NJAC Offensive Player of the Week, scored her fourth of the season. On a 2-on-1 break from 25 yards out, Hall moved down the left side before sliding the ball in front of cage, where Winkelspecht made a diving attempt and just got enough of the pass to direct the ball into the cage, giving William Paterson the 1-0 lead.
Montclair State would answer exactly two minutes later as Megan Pietrunti collected her seventh goal of the year, knocking in a shot over the head of Christina Auger (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Hills).
William Paterson regained the lead at 17:42 of the period as Londino put a shot on goal from the left side that was deflected in by Hall to give the Pioneers a 2-1 lead. It was Hall's team-leading seventh goal of the season. William Paterson would add one more before the half as Londino fired a shot from the left side of the circle past a diving Jacquie Supko as WPU took a two-goal lead into halftime.
Auger would make that lead hold up as she recorded three of her four saves in the second half. Auger denied Jen Tanis on a backhand three minutes into the second half and then came up with a glove save on Tans at the 48:54 mark. The Red Hawks would get one more opportunity, but Auger stopped Justine DiPaolo with a kick save with 9:53 to go.
Supko had three saves for Montclair State, which held a 10-9 advantage in shots and had eight penalty corners to WPU's seven.
William Paterson will return to action Saturday, Oct. 6, at Alvernia at 1:00 p.m.
