MADISON, N.J. – The No. 11 William Paterson men's basketball team (8-1) earned a 70-57 victory at FDU-Florham (6-4) Dec. 13.

Leading by just one at the break (34-33), the Pioneers put together a 12-2 run to push its advantage to 12 (50-38) with 12:15 remaining in the contest. The Devils later fought back to within six (57-51, 4:22), but William Paterson ended the contest with a 13-6 spurt to put the game away.

Senior all-American Luis Martinez (Passaic, N.J./Clifton) led the Pioneers with 23 points, adding six rebounds. Junior Joey Spiegel (Teaneck, N.J./Teaneck) chipped in 12 tallies and seven steals.

The Pioneers were ranked 11th in this week's d3hoops.com Top 25 Poll.

William Paterson will next play at Seton Hall Friday, Dec. 15, at 7:30 p.m.
