Joey Spiegel's (Teaneck, N.J./Teaneck) 20 points helped lead the No. 16 William Paterson men's basketball team (5-1) to a 77-45 win at John Jay (1-6) Nov. 29.
The Pioneers shot a blistering 61.5 (16-26) percent from the floor in the first half, racing out to a 36-23 halftime lead. Overall, William Paterson shot 55.2 (32-58) percent from the field, outscoring the Bloodhounds 47-18 in the paint.
Spiegel made eight of nine shots for his 20 points, adding four assists. Senior
John Rother (Sodus Point, N.Y./Sodus Central) had 19 tallies on an 8-for-8 effort from the field.
