NEW YORK, N.Y. (OCTOBER 26, 2006) – The William Paterson volleyball team (9-20) ended its 2006 season with a hard-fought 0-3 (16-30, 11-30, 26-30) loss at Hunter (23-6) Oct. 26.

Junior Dana Hansen (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) posted 10 assists for the Pioneers, classmate Michelle Banom (North Arlington, N.J./North Arlington) added seven kills, and Tasha DelVacchio (Magnolia, N.J./Sterling) collected five block solos.

“The scores tonight really didn't reflect how well we played,” said 28th-year WPU head coach Sandy Ferrarella. “There were a lot of long rallies and some excellent points. Even though we weren't able to come out of it with a victory, it was still a very good way to end our season to be able to play the way we did tonight.”
