William Paterson University Athletics

Former Pioneer Sean O’Connor joined the William Paterson coaching staff in 2011 to work with the program’s quarterbacks, and is working alongside his brother, Justin, who is a WP offensive assistant coach.

O’Connor completed 67 of 143 passes for 846 yards and six touchdowns in eight games as a senior in 2002 for William Paterson, adding one score on the ground.  A transfer from Vanderbilt University, he was a scholastic star in football and basketball at Hackensack High School.

The quarterbacks and offensive coordinator the last three years at Teaneck High School, O’Connor previously held the same position at Midland Park and Waldwick High Schools during a four-year span.

O’Connor is the head girls basketball coach at Midland Park and the assistant varsity lacrosse coach at Indian Hills High School.  He resides in Hackensack.
