WAYNE, N.J. – Women’s basketball freshman guard BriAnna Lucas (Hamilton, N.J./Nottingham) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week Feb. 16.

Lucas averaged 10.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game last week, shooting 45.5 (5-11) percent from three-point range. She tied her career high with seven rebounds, adding eight points in a 45-34 win at Rutgers-Newark Feb. 11, and posted her 13^th double-digit scoring effort this season with 13 points during a 66-63 victory at Ramapo Feb. 14. As of Feb. 16, the freshman ranked third in steals (2.79 spg), fifth in three-point field-goal percentage (.350), 11^th in free-throw percentage (.720) and 14^th in scoring (11.6 ppg) in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.
