WAYNE, N.J. – Senior men’s swimmer David Caputo (Staten Island, N.Y./Curtis) was named the Feb. 9 William Paterson Pioneer of the Week.

Caputo had a strong week for the Pioneers in the pool, winning the 500 (5:20.41) and 1,000 (11:11.20) frees during a 134-11 victory against Ramapo Feb. 3, and the 500 (5:09.85) and 1,000 (10:51.81) frees as well as the 200 fly (2:12.76) during a 163-137 victory against Montclair State Feb. 7. Caputo was also part of the 400 free relay team that defeated the Red Hawks with a time of 3:19.96.
