WAYNE , N.J. – Football senior quarterback Dan Lamego (North Arlington, N.J./Queen of Peace) was named William Paterson's Male Pioneers of the Week for Sept. 17.

Lamego threw for a school-record five touchdowns as the Pioneers defeated the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, 41-12, Sept. 15. He completed 16 of 21 passes for 218 yards, and his five touchdown passes surpassed the previous record of four, set by Brian Leary against Trenton State (Sept. 20, 1991), and tied by Rob Warchol against Cortland State (Oct. 20, 2001).
