WAYNE, N.J. -- Volleyball sophomore middle/outside hitter Kelly Helfrich (Clark, N.J./Arthur L. Johnson) was named William Paterson's Female Pioneer of the Week for Sept. 3.

Helfrich averaged 3.33 kills, 2.22 digs, 0.89 ace and 0.78 block per game as the Pioneers started the season with a 3-0 effort at the NJAC/Skyline Crossover Sept. 2. She posted a double-double with 12 kills and 10 digs against St. Joseph’s-Long Island, and 10 kills against SUNY Farmingdale.
