Men’s basketball senior guard Joey Spiegel (Teaneck, N.J./Teaneck) was named William Paterson’s Pioneer of the Week for Feb. 4.

Spiegel averaged 17.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in a pair of Pioneer wins last week. The 5-11 guard scored a team-best 17 points and added four rebounds and three assists in a 79-65 win against Rutgers-Newark Jan. 30, and posted a game-best 17 points, adding six rebounds in a 68-50 victory at Rowan Feb. 2. Spiegel is now 15 away from becoming the 26th member of the Pioneers’ 1,000-point club.
