WAYNE, N.J. – Men’s soccer sophomore back Steve DeMatteo (Piscataway, N.J./St. Joseph-Metuchen) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week Oct. 6.

 

DeMatteo had both game-winning goals during a 2-0 week for the 14th-ranked Pioneers. He scored the first goal of a 2-0 win against Rutgers-Newark Oct. 1, and posted the lone goal in a 1-0 overtime win at Kean Oct. 4. The two scores doubled DeMatteo’s season goals total to four.
