Men’s soccer sophomore back Joe Strawman (Ringoes, N.H./Hunterdon Central Regional) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week Sept. 15.

Strawman helped lead the Pioneers to a pair of shutout victories last week with his outstanding play on the back line -- a 1-0 win against Arcadia Sept. 10, and a 3-0 victory at Western Connecticut Sept. 13. William Paterson is 5-0-1 to begin the 2008 season, the Pioneers’ best start since winning the first five contests of the 2002 campaign.
