WAYNE, N.J. – Senior baseball pitcher Mitch D’Amato (Edison, N.J./Edison) was selected as the May 2 William Paterson Pioneer of the Week.
 
D’Amato pitched a complete-game, 8-2 victory April 28 at No. 3/7 Ramapo, allowing two runs (one earned) on eight hits and two walks while striking out five. The victory helped the Pioneers eventually secure a spot on the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Tournament that will begin Tuesday, May 3, with sixth-seeded WP playing at top-seeded Kean at 3:30 p.m.
