WAYNE, N.J. – Softball junior designated player Salina Pellios (Middlesex, N.J./Middlesex) was selected as the April 11 William Paterson Pioneer of the Week.
Pellios hit .615 (8-13) during a 4-0 week for the Pioneers, tallying a double, four RBI, a run scored, a .643 on-base percentage and a .692 slugging percentage. She was 3-for-4 with two RBI in a 5-4 win April 6 against Montclair State, including a walk-off single for the game-winning RBI during the bottom of the seventh inning. Pellios was 3-for-3 with an RBI in an 8-0, five-inning win April 10 against Rutgers-Newark. During the night cap against the Scarlet Raiders, she was 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and run scored, driving in the winning run with a single in the bottom of the eighth for a 10-9 victory.
