WAYNE, N.J. – Women’s swimming junior Grace McKay (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) was named William Paterson’s Pioneer of the Week for Feb. 11.

McKay won five individual events and contributed to a pair of first-place relays in two dual-meets last week. In a 99-81 victory against Mount St. Mary Feb. 5, she posted victories in the 100 fly (1:04.65) and 100 back (1:06.33), and was the lead leg of the winning 200 free relay (1:47.79). In a 159-139 loss to Montclair State Feb. 9, a meet that came down to the final relay, McKay was a triple individual winner, touching first in the 100 fly (1:02.5), and 100 (1:02.59) and 200 (2:17.3) backs. She also was a part of the winning 200 medley relay with a time of 1:58.26.
