WAYNE, N.J. – Men’s basketball senior guard Sandy Burgos (Fort Lee, N.J./Fort Lee) was named the March 2 William Paterson Pioneer of the Week.
 
Burgos scored a game-best 27 points during the Pioneers’ 63-61 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Tournament semifinal victory Feb. 24 against New Jersey City, knocking down five of seven (.714) three-point attempts. In the championship game Feb. 27 at No. 21 Stockton, he posted 12 tallies and two assists.
