WAYNE, N.J. – Senior football bandit Stephen Bovo, Jr. (Dunellen, N.J./Dunellen) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week for Oct. 1.

Bovo had a fumble recovery and an interception during the Pioneers’ 21-14 victory Sept. 29 at Maritime.  His fumble recovery set up WP’s first touchdown, and his interception in the end zone kept the Privateers off the scoreboard late in the third quarter.  Bovo finished the game with two solo tackles, including 1.0 for loss.
