WAYNE, N.J. – Women’s basketball senior forward April Smith (Barnegat, N.J./Southern Regional) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week for Jan. 9.

Smith averaged 17.5 points and 11.0 rebounds in two victories.  She contributed 15 points, three assists, two blocked shots and a game-high 11 rebounds to a 62-61 victory at Montclair State Jan. 4, and she posted 20 tallies, 11 rebounds and three steals during an 88-69 win against Richard Stockton Jan. 7.
