WAYNE, N.J. – Softball junior outfielder Raquel Roder (Hoboken, N.J./Hoboken) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week for May 2.

 

Roder hit .500 (7-14) with three doubles, three runs scored, four RBI and a .714 slugging percentage during a 5-1 week for the Pioneers. She had a RBI-single during a 5-3 opening victory against Kean April 26, and went 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and run scored in a 6-1 second-game victory against the Cougars. Roder had a pair of hits, one RBI and a run scored during a doubleheader split at No. 23 Montclair State April 30, and finished a combined 2-for-4 with a double, run and RBI during a pair of 8-0, six-inning victories against Baruch May 1.
