WAYNE, N.J. – Softball senior pitcher/first baseman Jenna Vitale (Kenilworth, N.J./David Brearley) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week for April 25.

 

Vitale hit .500 with two doubles, a home run, two RBI and one run scored in four games last week, and added a walk and two sacrifices for a .917 slugging percentage and a .538 on-base percentage. She was 2-for-3 with a double, solo home run and run scored while picking up the win inside the circle in a 7-6 victory against TCNJ April 21, pitching 4.2 innings of relief and giving up three runs (one earned) and eight hits while striking out one. Vitale went 1-for-3 with a RBI during an 8-3 victory in the night cap against the Lions. She finished 1-for-3 in a 5-3 win at Richard Stockton April 22, and was 2-for-3 with a double during the 6-2 victory in the second game of the doubleheader against the Ospreys.
