WAYNE, N.J. – Women’s basketball junior guard BriAnna Lucas (Hamilton, N.J./Nottingham) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week for March 7.

Lucas averaged 16.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game, helping to lead the Pioneers into the NCAA Championship Sweet Sixteen. She posted 10 points and a game-high six assists and three steals during an 81-47 victory against Keuka in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament March 4, and did not have a turnover in 30 minutes against the Storm. Lucas then scored 18 of her game-high 22 points during the second half of a 58-53 win against Colby in the NCAA Tournament second round March 5, adding five rebounds and two steals against the Mules.
