WAYNE, N.J. – Women’s basketball junior guard BriAnna Lucas (Hamilton, N.J./Nottingham) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week for Jan. 3.

 

Lucas averaged 15.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.5 steals per contest during a pair of wins for the Pioneers last week. She contributed four points, four assists and two blocked shots in 26 minutes of action during a 77-43 victory at Hunter Dec. 29, and she scored 15 of her game-high 27 points during the second half of a 61-56 win against Frostburg State in the first round of the Starters/Moravian Winter Classic Jan. 2. Lucas added five rebounds, four assists and five steals against the Bobcats.
