WAYNE, N.J. – Women’s basketball junior forward April Smith (Barnegat, N.J./Southern Regional) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week for Nov. 22.

 

Smith was named to the DeSales Starters Pub Tip-Off All-Tournament Team. She started the season with 27 points and seven rebounds during an 81-60 victory at Manhattanville Nov. 16, then posted 25 points, 10 rebounds and four blocked shots during a 71-62 win against Scranton in the Starters Pub Tip-Off Tournament first round Nov. 20. She added five tallies, five boards and three steals during a 61-44 victory against Ursinus in the championship game Nov. 21.
