WAYNE, N.J. – Men’s soccer senior back Chris Belan (Howell, N.J./Freehold Twp.) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week for Nov. 1.

 

Belan scored the second goal of a 2-1 comeback victory in the regular-season finale at Kean Oct. 27, a win that gave the Pioneers the second seed, a first-round bye and a home semifinal match for the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Tournament. His diving header of a Julian Valerio (Manalapan, N.J./Manalapan) pass gave WP a 2-1 edge in the 88th minute.
