WAYNE, N.J. – Softball junior outfielder Heather Mendez (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week April 12.

 

Mendez hit .615 with two doubles, three runs scored and four RBI last week, adding four walks for a .706 on-base percentage and a .769 slugging percentage. She went 1-for-1 with two walks and a pair of RBI during a 3-0 win against Richard Stockton April 6, and went 4-for-4 during the night cap against the Ospreys, collecting a double and two RBI. Mendez also was 2-for-3, hit a double and crossed the plate twice in a 4-2 victory at Drew April 8.
