WAYNE, N.J. – Baseball sophomore pitcher Steve Coral (Totowa, N.J./Passaic Valley) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week March 22.

Coral pitched the first 7.1 innings of a 5-3 upset victory against No. 20 Cortland March 17 at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational in Auburndale, surrendering three runs (two earned) on seven hits. Coral struck out four Red Dragons and walked four in a game that the Pioneers eventually won with a pair of runs during the top of the ninth inning.
