WAYNE, N.J. – Volleyball senior middle hitter Kelly Helfrich (Clark, N.J./Arthur L. Johnson) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week Oct. 12.

Helfrich averaged 4.14 kills, 2.43 digs and 0.86 service ace per set during a 3-1 week for the Pioneers.  She had 21 kills and 11 digs to lead the Pioneers to a 3-1 victory against Rowan Oct. 6, then had 12 kills, nine aces and eight digs in a 3-0 win at John Jay Oct. 8.  Helfrich posted 10 kills and six digs during a 3-0 loss to Cabrini, and 15 kills and nine digs during a 3-1 win at Centenary, on Oct. 10.
