WAYNE, N.J. – Football sophomore running back Marcus McKinney (Paterson, N.J./John F. Kennedy) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week Sept. 21.

McKinney established a new school record with his 35 rushing attempts during a 20-6 victory at King’s Sept. 19.  The sophomore gained a career-best 115 yards on the ground for the Pioneers, and scored a one-yard touchdown during the second quarter to give WP a 14-0 lead.  McKinney broke the previous William Paterson single-game record of 33 carries held by three former Pioneers, and he currently leads the NJAC with 107.0 rushing yards per game this season.
