Matt Tedino joined the Athletic Communications department at William Paterson as the Sports Information Director in August of 2022.

He came to William Paterson from Monmouth University, where he was an Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. While in West Long Branch, N.J., he worked primarily with men's and women's soccer, women's basketball, women's lacrosse and women's tennis.

Prior to Monmouth, he spent time as an Assistant Director of Communications and Creative Services at Delaware, working with the volleyball team and a nationally-ranked men's lacrosse program.

He arrived in Newark following three years at the United States Military Academy where he was an Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. He had primary responsibilities in the sports of men's soccer, men's basketball, men's and women's swimming and diving as well as women's lacrosse. He also worked with the women's basketball and softball programs during his time at the Academy.

The New Jersey native went to Army West Point after a one-year stint at Lafayette, where he served as an Athletic Communications Assistant, working primarily with field hockey, volleyball, cross country, women's basketball, track and field, fencing and baseball.

Prior to his arrival at Lafayette, he spent two years as a Sports Information Graduate Assistant at Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham, where he served as the secondary contact for the school's 19 varsity sports, while also working towards obtaining his MSA in Sports Administration.

Before earning his graduate degree, he got his B.S. in journalism from St. John's University in 2014. He spent his senior year interning with the New York Daily News, where he served as a high school sports reporter, covering a multitude of sports across four of the city's five boroughs. He had numerous articles published in the paper's highly recognized sports section, including his coverage of the New York City PSAL High School Football Championship that was held at Yankee Stadium.

While at St. John's, he volunteered with the athletic communications department, completing various tasks on a daily basis and serving as a member of the game day personnel for all men's and women's basketball home contests. He also gained valuable experience while working at the 2016 Men's Basketball BIG East Tournament, the 2014 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament and the 2013 Men's Basketball NIT Tournament.
