A standout on the pitch for the Pioneers, Marcus Hackett joined the William Paterson men's soccer staff as an assistant coach for the 2019 season.
Hackett (2011-14) was honored as both the ECAC Metro Region and New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Defensive Player of the Year at the conclusion of the 2013 and 2014 campaigns. A member of the 2014 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-South Atlantic Region Second Team and All-NJAC First Team, he paced WP with 10 goals, 21 points and four game-winning goals while starting 18 of 19 matches as a senior.

Named to the 2013 NSCAA All-South Atlantic Second Team and 2012 NSCAA All-Region Third Team, he also was selected to the 2012 and 2013 ECAC All-Metro First Teams, the 2013 and 2012 All-NJAC First Teams and the 2011 All-NJAC Second Team. During 76 career contests (71 starts), Hackett posted 26 goals (seventh in WP history) and six assists for 58 points (ninth at WP).
A native of Montclair, N.J., he is currently completing a bachelor's degree in sport management at William Paterson.
