Former Pioneer Kourtney Scipio ’24, ’26 MS was named a volunteer assistant field hockey coach for the 2026 season.
Scipio was an all-conference honoree and a key defensive cog on the field, starting 43 of 45 career appearances during her four seasons with the Pioneers. As a freshman in 2020, she helped WP capture its fourth New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Tournament title, recording a key defensive save in the championship against Ramapo.
She was a three-time National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Scholar of Distinction and National Academic Squad honoree. Additionally, she was a two-time Academic All-NJAC Team selection.
Scipio graduated from William Paterson in 2024 with a bachelor’s in speech language pathology before earning her master’s in 2026.
