William Paterson University Athletics

Assistant Athletic Trainer Dondi Boyd is now in her 24th year (2025-26) at William Paterson.

Upon completion of her B.S. in exercise and movement science with a concentration in athletic training and exercise physiology at WP in 1999, Boyd worked in accounting at Brookdale Community College while finishing an internship in cardiac rehabilitation. She then joined the staff at Rutgers-Newark as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for two years before returning to William Paterson full time.

Boyd, along with the rest of the athletic training staff, coordinates the medical care and rehabilitation for WP’s student-athletes. They use the facility adjacent to Wightman Stadium, and provide treatment at athletic practices and competitions.

During the summer, Boyd works summer camps for children with varying special needs. She is certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification.
