Alie Wickersheim joined the William Paterson women’s basketball staff as an assistant coach in September of 2024.

Wickersheim most recently served as an assistant coach at Ramapo College for the 2023-24 campaign, helping the Roadrunners capture an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) title following an 18-win season that featured 11 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) victories.

Prior to joining the coaching ranks, the Maywood, N.J., native enjoyed a successful four-year playing career at Ramapo that was capped by being named the NJAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year while also garnering all-conference recognition as a senior captain in 2021-22. She started 45 of the 95 career games she played in, compiling 675 points, 581 rebounds, 125 blocks, 69 assists and 57 steals while shooting 40 percent (247-610) from the floor.

Wickersheim also played one season at Caldwell University in 2016-17, where she was a part of the Cougars’ run to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament title game before earning the program’s first-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament.  

She additionally coaches at the AAU level and is a middle school teacher.

Wickersheim graduated from Ramapo in 2021 with a bachelor’s in elementary education before earning her master’s in special education in 2022.
