Mike Betkowski’s experience and ties to area high school coaches make him a valuable asset to the Pioneers’ coaching staff.

Now in his ninth season as an assistant coach with the women’s soccer program in 2012, he was a standout high school athlete at Hudson Catholic High School and played collegiately at Saint Peter’s College before transferring to William Paterson.

The coach for nine seasons at Wayne Valley High School and Mount St. Dominic Academy, two of the top girls’ soccer programs in North Jersey, he is a 1993 graduate of William Paterson with a bachelor’s degree in history.  Betkowski currently is a social studies teacher at George Washington Middle School in Wayne, where he runs the “School of Rock” program.  Previously the head softball coach at Wayne Valley, he resides in Franklin with his wife, Anne, and son, Thaddeus.
