Vanessa Lenoir

40099Now in her 19th season as a coach and her 23rd with the Pioneer program, Vanessa Lenoir has been a vital part of the greatest eras of William Paterson softball. As a player from 1990-93, she was a member of four NCAA Tournament squads. In her current capacity, she has been an integral part of the Pioneers making eight NCAA Tournament appearances and winning two regional titles.

Lenoir’s primary responsibilities lie with team conditioning/training, serving as the Pioneers’ first-base coach and mentoring the catchers. For the last responsibility, she draws upon her experiences as a three-time all-New Jersey Athletic Conference (1990, 1992-93) and two-time all-Atlantic Region (1990, 1992) selection. During her career, she etched her name into the program annals in career home runs (10, tied-sixth all time) while helping William Paterson produce 112 victories.

Also an assistant director of registration services at the University, she earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise and movement science from William Paterson in 1994.Â
