Dina DeAquino

Dina DeAquino joined the William Paterson softball staff in 2016 as an assistant coach.
 
DeAquino is familiar with the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC), having amassed a 73-29 record and 1.23 earned-run average during four seasons inside the circle for Montclair State University (1985-88). A first-team all-American as a junior and senior, she helped lead the Red Hawks to four NCAA Tournament berths and trips to the 1987 and 1988 NCAA National Championship Finals.
 
After starting her coaching career at her alma mater, DeAquino served as the pitching coach at Princeton University for eight years, helping the Tigers win seven Ivy League championships and two NCAA Regional titles while securing a pair of berths in the Women’s College World Series. She also coached in the Women’s Professional Softball League and National Pro Fastpitch, working with the Carolina Diamonds’ pitchers and serving as an assistant for the NY/NJ Juggernauts.
 
Currently a teacher in the Paterson School District, she has previously worked as a high school athletic director as well as in other administrative positions. She holds master’s degrees from MSU in both physical education (coaching and administration) and educational administration and supervision. DeAquino completed a bachelor’s in physical education at Montclair State in 1988, and is a member of the MSU and Belleville High School Halls of Fame.
