Former Pioneer Andrew Scimeca will serve as William Paterson’s men’s swimming and diving undergraduate assistant coach during the 2011-12 season.

A two-time diving finalist at the Metropolitan Championships, Scimeca was sixth in the three-meter (388.30) and eighth in the one-meter (366.20) dives as a senior in 2011, and sixth in the one-meter (328.65) and three-meter (349.75) dives as a junior in 2010.  A four-time New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Diver of the Week during the 2010-11 season, Scimeca also contributed in the backstroke and freestyle during his career.

A Spring 2008 Dean’s List student, the Lincoln Park, N.J., native is completing a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology at William Paterson.
