Former William Paterson standout Michael Encarnacion joined the men’s soccer staff as an undergraduate assistant coach for the 2013 season.

Encarnacion (2009-12) was a first-team all-New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) selection in 2012 after scoring three goals and notching three assists. As a junior, he was a first-team all-conference pick, and was named to the ECAC All-Metro Region and National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-South Atlantic Region Second Teams. Encarnacion earned honorable-mention all-conference laurels when he helped to lead WP to the second round of the 2010 NCAA Tournament, and he made 73 starts in 77 career matches, posting five goals and 14 assists.

Encarnacion is currently pursuing a degree in sociology.
