William Paterson University Athletics

Former Pioneer Anthony Pulizzano is in his 14th season overall as a member of the William Paterson men’s soccer staff, again serving as the program’s volunteer assistant coach for the 2018 campaign.
 
A four-year starter for the Pioneers, Pulizzano was the Pioneers’ assistant coach for 10 years total (2001, 2006-14).

Pulizzano suited up for the Pioneers from 1996-99, ranking among the top defenders in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) while serving as a team captain. Prior to his playing days at William Paterson, he won six State Cups and three regional titles while playing with the Central Jersey Cosmos, and was a former all-state and Olympic Development Program player at Raritan High School.

A 2001 graduate of WP with a bachelor’s degree in sociology/criminal justice, he spends most of his time in Upper Saddle River, where he has been a police officer for 16 years.
